The Forest People: Bigfoot as a Spirit of the Wilderness

    Do You Believe in Bigfoot?

    I do.
But probably not in the way you think.

For decades, Bigfoot has captured the imagination of researchers, eyewitnesses, and storytellers alike. Traditionally portrayed as a massive, ape-like hominid stalking the deep forests of North America, this elusive creature has been the subject of countless investigations, grainy photographs, and campfire tales.

But what if we’ve been looking at Bigfoot all wrong?

A growing number of researchers and experiencers are beginning to explore a more unconventional theory—one that views Bigfoot not as a flesh-and-blood animal, but as an interdimensional or energetic being, deeply connected to the spiritual essence of the wilderness itself.

    Personal Encounters with the Unknown

My wife Denise and I have encountered this phenomenon many times, and we’re convinced: these beings are not animals. They are something else—something far more complex.

In 2020, we were introduced to Greg Yost—better known in the Bigfoot community as “Squatchman.” At the time, we weren’t even sure we believed in Bigfoot, despite some strange, unexplainable experiences of our own.

Greg called them The Forest People, and that changed everything for us. He opened our eyes to a new way of interpreting our encounters—not as sightings of a cryptid creature, but as communication with a sentient, interdimensional intelligence.

    Beyond the Physical

The classic Bigfoot narrative hinges on physical evidence: giant footprints, broken branches, echoing howls, and the occasional blurry video. But skeptics often highlight a major inconsistency—there’s never been a body, a bone, or confirmed DNA. Tracks often appear and vanish without a trace. In many cases, footprints lead into open fields and simply stop, as if the being vanished into thin air.

    These patterns raise a question:
Is Bigfoot bound to our physical reality at all?

The Forest People seem to have abilities far beyond what any known animal possesses. Their strength and speed are astonishing—beyond what even a thousand-pound, 10-foot-tall creature should be capable of. But more than that, they seem to have the ability to sense or even influence human thought and emotion. No known animal can do that.

    The Eyes in the Trees

One of the most remarkable and consistent phenomena reported by witnesses is the sighting of glowing eyes in the forest—often hovering in the darkness, sometimes moving with intelligence and purpose.

We’ve witnessed this ourselves more times than we can count.

These eyes are not the result of reflected light like a deer caught in headlights. They are self-illuminating, glowing with an inner light—red, green, white, blue, amber, and even violet. The color often shifts, and the intensity varies, but the message is clear: something is looking back.

In many cases, these glowing eyes appear in total silence, often at eye level in places no animal should be. To us, and many other experiencers, these are the eyes of the Forest People.

    Interdimensional Beings

The interdimensional Bigfoot theory suggests that these beings can shift between realities—phasing into our world and back again. This could explain how they seem to appear and vanish in seconds, often in places where no escape is possible.

Strange effects often accompany these appearances—flashes of light, drained batteries, electronic interference, feelings of dread, euphoria, or confusion, and even missing time. These overlaps with UFO and paranormal encounters hint at a broader, interconnected phenomenon.

Is there a unifying thread connecting Bigfoot, ghosts, energy anomalies, and UFOs? We believe so.

    Spirit of the Forest

Many Indigenous cultures have long described beings resembling Bigfoot—not as beasts, but as guardians of the land. In Native American lore, names like Sasquatch, Skookum, or Ts’emekwes refer to wise, conscious beings, protectors of the natural world who move between the seen and unseen.

They are not here to harm us.
They are here to protect the Earth.

And yet, they are not to be trifled with. Just as nature itself can be peaceful or violent, The Forest People are capable of terrifying power when disrespected or provoked. This may even account for some of the thousands of unexplained disappearances in remote wilderness areas.

    Energy and Vibration

Another perspective views Bigfoot not just as interdimensional, but as an energy being, operating on a frequency beyond our normal perception. Just as some animals can see ultraviolet light or hear infrasound, The Forest People may exist in a vibrational range we don’t normally detect.

These beings often manifest during energetic peaks—solar flares, storms, emotional trauma, or altered states of consciousness. They are most often encountered in undisturbed, sacred places: forests, ancient burial sites, cave systems, and old battlefields.

Many of our own sightings have taken place at cemeteries, Civil War battlefields, and Native American grounds. The energy in these places is undeniable, and it seems to act as a bridge between our world and theirs.

Science, Spirit, and the Future of Research

Mainstream science has long resisted these ideas, but quantum physics is beginning to validate them. Theories of parallel dimensions, consciousness-driven reality, and vibrational fields now echo what mystics, shamans, and Indigenous cultures have known for centuries.

If The Forest People are interdimensional or energetic beings, then we must rethink how we interact with them. Hunting them won’t work. Tracking them won’t work.

Instead, we must learn to approach with respect—to speak, listen, feel, and observe.

When Denise and I are in the field, we use many of the same techniques as we do in paranormal investigations. We talk to them. We invite them to show themselves. We thank them, and sometimes even applaud them for their responses. We never take photos or video without asking permission. That respect makes all the difference.

    Final Thoughts

The idea of Bigfoot as a spirit of the forest, or an interdimensional consciousness, challenges everything we thought we knew—not just about this elusive being, but about the nature of reality itself.

It reminds us that not all mysteries are meant to be solved. Some are meant to be felt. Some are meant to awaken us.

Maybe the Forest People aren’t here to be found.
Maybe they’re here to remind us that there are still wild, sacred places in this world—places where magic still lives.
