Healing & Renewal Rituals: A Light for All I’ve Loved
Purpose:
To honor the passing of a loved one, acknowledge past losses, and invite peace and healing into your heart.
You’ll Need:
- A white candle
- A black or deep blue candle
- A bowl of water
- Optional: photo or name written on paper
- A few personal mementos (stones, trinkets, dried flowers)
- Incense or essential oil (like rose, sandalwood, or frankincense)
🕊 Ritual Steps:
1. Prepare the Space
Arrange the candles, water, and mementos. Light incense or diffuse essential oil.
2. Center Yourself
Breathe deeply. Say:
“I open this space in love and light. I welcome peace. I welcome healing. I welcome the memories that shaped me.”
3. Light the White Candle
Say:
“This flame is for the soul that just crossed. May your journey be filled with peace and light.”
Feel their presence or simply hold a moment of silence.
4. Light the Dark Candle
Say:
“This flame is for every loss I’ve carried—past and present. I honor your place in my heart.”
5. Speak Their Names
Gently speak the names or memories of those you’ve lost. Say:
“You mattered. You changed me. I remember you with love.”
6. Touch the Water
Sprinkle a few drops around the candles or on your heart. Say:
“May grief be cleansed and honored. May healing flow like water through every space where sorrow lives.”
7. Reflect in Stillness
Sit quietly with your heart open. Let whatever needs to rise, rise.
8. Close the Ritual
Blow out the dark candle:
“I release the pain but carry the love.”
Blow out the white candle:
“Go in peace, wrapped in light.”
Pour the water outside to return your emotions to the Earth.
