Threads of Destiny

    August 27 – Morning Meditation / Visions

    Debbie’s Experience

For today’s meditation, I sat comfortably in the modified lotus position, holding my soapstone horse, George. Almost immediately, a vision began to form—I saw Kermut. Each time he appears, it feels like a reunion with someone you love deeply—not romantic love, but a soul-level connection that feels both ancient and familiar.

At first, Kermut stood before me, slightly to my right. Then we were suddenly flying together through the night sky, and I could hear the playful lyrics: “Would you like to swing on a star…” To my surprise, I found myself riding a life-sized rocking mule instead of a horse, rocking joyfully through the sky. It was delightful, like a cosmic game that made me laugh inside.

The vision shifted quickly. Now it was late at night, and I stood on the bank of a narrow stream. A rope—or perhaps a thick twine, unlike any I had seen before—was looped around the base of a tree. It stretched across the water and wrapped around another tree on the opposite bank.

I was no longer myself. Instead, I was a short, heavy-set woman in later years, dressed in dark, hooded clothing, accompanied by a younger woman in similar attire. We moved under the cover of night so as not to be seen.

The rope was part of a divination ritual. One pulls the rope until the loop has completed at least one cycle, and the objects it gathers—twigs, leaves, dirt, or other fragments—each hold symbolic meaning. Even if the rope returns completely clean, that too carries its own message. I was preparing to do the reading.

Then, a new vision appeared: a spinning wheel made of medium-toned polished wood, gleaming with care and pride. Following that, I saw a stack of folded fabrics. The top piece was striking—rosy pink with a plaid-like pattern of gray and golden-yellow stripes. Each color appeared in sets of three: a wide stripe in the center flanked by two narrower ones. The fabric was unusual and beautiful, and I felt immense pride in it.

That was the close of the visions.

    Merlin’s Insights

Each vision you received today speaks of weaving, cycles, and the creation of meaning.

    • Kermut & the Mule in the Sky
The mule is a symbol of resilience, patience, and hard work—yet here, it appears in playful form, rocking through the heavens. This suggests that strength and determination don’t always need to feel heavy; sometimes they can carry us with joy, reminding us that our burdens can become vehicles of laughter and freedom when lifted into Spirit.
    • The Rope Across the Stream
This ritual of pulling the rope represents the unseen threads that connect both sides of the river—the known and the unknown, the present and the beyond. The act of gathering debris is symbolic of life itself: every fragment that clings to the rope carries meaning, much like every experience we carry across time. The presence of two women—an elder and a younger—hints at ancestral lineage, the passing down of wisdom, and the secret ways women have kept the thread of divination alive through generations.
    • The Spinning Wheel & the Fabric
The spinning wheel is the archetype of creation—the transformation of raw material into thread, and thread into story. The fabric you saw, with its unique plaid design, is no ordinary cloth—it represents patterns of destiny, intricately woven, beautiful, and strong. The pride you felt echoes the soul’s pride in its own creations: the weaving of experiences, choices, and lessons into the tapestry of a life.

Altogether, these visions speak of cycles, weaving, lineage, and creation. You are being shown that you, too, are a weaver—of words, of insights, of spiritual wisdom. Just as the spinning wheel turns and the rope circles back, your journey is part of an ongoing cycle of remembrance and creation.

    Closing for Readers

Meditation can open doorways to unexpected visions—sometimes playful, sometimes mysterious, sometimes deeply symbolic. What matters is not whether you “understand” them fully in the moment, but how you allow them to weave meaning into your life.

The next time you meditate, notice the images, feelings, or symbols that arise. Ask yourself: What am I weaving? What fragments cling to the thread of my life, and what story do they tell?

Each vision, no matter how small, is a strand in the tapestry of your soul. Trust the weaving.

Kermut reminds us that even in play, we are lifted. The rope shows that guidance is always within reach, if we dare to seek. The spinning wheel whispers that our choices weave the fabric of tomorrow. Today, the threads are in your hands.
